‘1981’ by Producer Loops and The Sound Of Merlin is a classic 80s crossover library inspired by the seventies disco tradition with an early eighties vibe to it. While older seventies productions sounded more vintage and tighter, here you can hear the characteristic eighties fueled hyper sound featuring more complex arrangements and more sophisticated mixing. ‘1981’ reflects the early eighties shift towards individual producers who had their own signature sound and invited their own session musicians into the studio.
