Two-time Moment alum sv1 (‘Data Pollen’ & ‘Riser Stars’) should not be a new name to this space: experimental producer, sound designer, and system builder, sv1 is a synthetic music pioneer. Using custom-built software environments in Max, he’s breathed unparalleled musical life into an otherwise tech-focused field. He’s gained attention from devs at Ableton and Cycling ‘74 as well as collaborated with like-minded sonic boundary-pushers DJH, Iglooghost & cutspace, and produced for vocalists like BABii and James Jetski.
‘odd server’ delivers the otherworldly sounds we expect from sv1, but freshly shaped by his involvement in the supersonic worlds of both ambient trap and Max experimentalism. Unconventional drum loops with undeniable bounce, elastic melodies raining down from the ether, and spacious ambiences that demand presence in the foreground.
