Splice Originals: Stylephonics - Vintage Soul is a unique take on soul samples. Heavily influenced by ‘60s and ‘70s soul music, the performers of this pack layered stacks of guitars, keys, drums, percussion, and horns. Crafted in Brick Road Studio in Scottsdale, AZ, these sounds are naturally sunbaked with a rock n roll edge and blues vibe.
The instrumentalists pulled inspiration from some of the most influential and innovative soul artists of the time including The Temptations, Marvin Gaye, Al Green, War, and Stevie Wonder. Each of these artists brought something new and unique to the scene, whether it was sensuality, grit, pop charm, or social commentary. This pack explores it all.
